River Bend Middle School was established in 2017. It has one year of the Teacher Working Conditions Survey (2018), which was conducted during its opening year. Generally, the results were positive. Only three questioned scored below fifty percent. Time and Managing Student Conduct were the lowest rated categories. For a school in its first year, I am not surprised by this data. Seventh and eighth graders were from multiple other middle schools, all coming with different backgrounds and expectations around middle school. The school was also not fully staffed yet, so class sizes would have been a little bigger. I am interested to see the results from this year’s TWC Survey because all three grade levels have matriculated at River Bend, and the school is now fully staffed with every grade level having four teams.
