Financial
River Bend Middle School’s bookkeeper did not feel comfortable disclosing their full budget with me, but she was very helpful in answering any questions I had. River Bend receives funding from the State Public School Fund (01), the Local Current Expense Fund (02), the Federal Grant Fund (03), the Multiple Enterprise Fund (05), and the Trust and Agency Funds (06). During the first year and a half of River Bend’s opening, it had access to the Capital Outlay Fund (04).
I learned that local school supplies comes from the Local Current Expense Fund, Title I funds come from the Federal Grant Fund, field trips come from the Trust and Agency Funds, and community use comes from the Multiple Enterprise Fund. The fund that has the most paperwork requiring the most justifications is the Federal Grant Fund for Title I funding.
