Student Discipline/Incident Reports
River Bend Middle school utilizes restorative justice practices and social emotional learning to help reduce our student suspensions and incident reports. From 2017-2018 school year to 2018-2019 school year, RBMS lowered their suspension rate by 13.83% even though we increased enrollment by over 200 students. This school year, a few staff members are being trained in Community Resilience Model techniques to then train staff next school year.
Our largest area of incident reports last school year were in the categories of Compliance with Directives, Disruptive Behavior, and Physical Aggression/Fighting. So far this school year, these three categories are currently the most reported again, with the most being Compliance with Directives.
